How we began......

Little did I know the direction my life would be taking when I purchased Taffy, a little sable and white collie, in 1984.  Two years later, I was the proud owner of two tri puppies-Coco and Di.  The four of us were inseparable!  Though those three have moved on to the Rainbow Bridge, the precious moments we spent together will remain in my heart forever and turned me down an entirely new path in my life. These three much loved collies taught me everything a human should know: devotion, love, forgiveness, beauty and DETERMINATION?

Next thing I knew, I was attending matches, shows, and collie club meetings and visiting different kennels in New Hampshire.  In the fall of 1988, I acquired a beautiful sable and white year old collie bitch, Candray Callisto.  "Trixie" was sired by Ch. Candray Constellation, who won Best of Breed at the 1988 CCA Specialty.  After swiftly  completing her championship, Trixie was bred to Ch. Starr's Taylor Made.  That litter produced a beautiful sable bitch, Quincy Sparkling Cider, "Nikki," who has given me some beautiful offspring herself.  In 1994, Trixie and Nikki won BEST BRACE at the CCA National in Niagara Falls and Trixie went on to win an AWARD OF MERIT.

My first homebred champion came from Candray Desert Sands, a normal-eyed Ch. Tartanside the Candidate daughter.  Though "Sandy" was never shown herself, she has produced puppies with elegance, showmanship, attitude and expression.  One of her offspring, Ch. Quincy Shephard Moons (a Ch. Candray Constellation grandson) finished his championship in 13 shows, with three specialty major wins, owner handled all the way!!!! "Kato" is a normal-eyed, light sable male who has been an absolute delight both in the kennel and in the show ring.

In 1994, I purchased a tri male puppy from Tartanside Kennels in PA.  "Malachi" excels in head detail and movement.  He finished his championship under the skillful guidance of his breeder, John Buddie of Tartanside.

At Quincy, the dogs come first! Our first priority everyday is their health and welfare-plenty of exercise, fresh air and LOVE! We breed for temperament, soundness, health and expression!
